MDLand Attends CCACO’s Press Conference Announcing $5.1 Million in Shared Savings
It is with much excitement that MDLand attended CCACO’s press conference on Thursday, December 12, 2019 announcing that the ACO has earned $5.1 million in shared savings through the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP). This is the fourth consecutive year CCACO has earned shared savings and is ranked 2nd out of 39 ACOs in New York State, and 6th out of all 548 ACOs nationwide in 2019.
We value the partnership and relationship we have with CCACO and look forward in continuing to support CCACO in its growth and future successes. Sharing the mutual goals in improving care coordination, and extending high quality care and improved patient outcomes, MDLand works to support the goal to ensure that patients get the right care at the right time, while preventing medical errors and avoiding unnecessary duplication of services. ACOs that meet performance standards on quality of care are eligible to share in generated savings as performance-based bonus payments. MDLand’s iClinic EHR assists CCACO and its providers in maximizing these savings.

MDLand Attends SOMOS's First Annual Conference
MDLand International, delivering one of the major EHR platforms in NYC is a leading health information technology company providing cloud-based certified electronic health records, practice management systems, clinical connectivity and integration, and population health platform to practices and healthcare organizations. MDLand joined hundreds of diverse doctors who serve over 700,000 patients through Governor Cuomo’s DSRIP initiative in attendance to map out a long-term strategy to address severe health disparities and cultural barriers to care, in efforts to improve New York’s healthcare delivery system, to increase care and drive down costs through improved connections to care and healthcare record sharing.
SOMOS’s First Annual Conference outlined operational best practices and mapped a long-term policy agenda to address health care disparities in New York’s Immigrant Neighborhoods, with a concentration on Latinx, Chinese Communities, to enhance the connection between patients and providers. As Dr. Ramon Tallaj, SOMOS Founder and Chairman, and a practicing physician with practices in Upper Manhattan who is an immigrant himself from the Dominican Republic, said “As physicians on the frontlines serving over 700,000 Medicaid beneficiaries, including over 500,000 in the Latinx community, we have seen firsthand the impact of the DSRIP initiative, helping make significant strides to improving New York’s healthcare delivery system, increasing care and driving down costs through improved connections to care and healthcare record sharing. However, the work is far from finished”. And as Dr. Henry Chen, President of SOMOS, a physician with practices in Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan, and a Chinese immigrant himself noted, “We want to build on our progress to strengthen our communities which, too often, are isolated from advancements in healthcare…”

Clinical Quality Improvement Meeting for ECAP IPA Physicians
MDLand International (MDLand), a leading Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Population Health IT Platform company, and Eastern Chinese American Physicians IPA, INC., a leading independent physician organization had a successful meeting for the IPA physicians on the topics of improvement in clinical quality, streamlining participation in the value-based case and payment models and closing the patient care gap with the iClinic VBP. The opportunity to interact with the providers who utilize MDLand’s iClinic platform on a day to day basis provided a forum for exchanging experiences, discussing Users’ needs and providing insights into the developments in the iClinic EHR platform to address the evolving payment and policy landscape.

James Long Invited to Give Talk to Columbia University’s Biomedical Informatics Students

MDLand Speaks at the 2018 Alliance of North American Chinese Physicians (ANACP)’s Annual Meeting
This year’s ANACP annual meeting hosted from November 2 to November 4, 2018 at the Marriott Houston Medical Center in Houston, TX brought in over 300 participants from North America and other regions together in the opportunity for community outreach and education through the exchange of medical frontier knowledge.
With the healthcare landscape transitioning from fee for service to fee for value, MDLand’s co-founder and Sr. Vice President, Mr. James Long spoke on the best practices to improve reimbursement and quality management for the new value-based payment programs, discussing how providers can leverage their EHR infrastructure by applying various digital technologies to optimize workflow, engage patients to close the care gap and improve the overall population health management.
